Jerusalem Pregnancy Meeting + Potluck

להקשיב לקולי

A monthly meeting + potluck for women in pregnancy

Pregnancy is a time of a lot of change — physically, emotionally, and mentally. With appointments, work, and maybe older kids, it’s easy to rush through it without pausing to notice what you are truly experiencing.

להקשיב לקולי creates that pause.
It’s a safe, supportive space where you can slow down, reflect, and connect — with yourself, your baby, and with other expecting women. Here, you are invited to listen to your own voice, and to discover or strengthen it for the journey of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

How the Meet-Up Works

First 50–60 minutes: Gentle guided exercises with emotional support tools, led by a doula and B.O.T. facilitator. This is a chance to slow down, listen to your own experience, and give space to your feelings and your body. You’ll have time to journal and, if you feel comfortable, to share. Bring along a small booklet to keep track of your reflections from month to month.

Second part: A relaxed potluck, giving space for women to connect, share, and enjoy each other’s company. In my experience, real magic happens when women gather and simply meet one another. AND: take this opportunity to ask me, a Jerusalem-based doula, any questions you have.

Why “להקשיב לקולי / Listen to My Voice”?

The name reflects the purpose of these circles. להקשיב לקולי is about connecting with your inner experience — your feelings, your nervous system, and your own voice. In our society, and within the maternity system, much of what we do becomes automatic, responding to stress rather than our own needs.

These meetings provide a space to slow down, notice your emotions, and reconnect with what you truly need and want. Over time, this inner listening can grow into a real, confident voice, helping you express yourself and navigate pregnancy and birth more consciously and confidently.

Highly recommended course for first time moms and beyond!!’

Leah’s online birth course is fantastic. I don’t currently live in Israel but decided to take it anyway, and I found it to be more comprehensive and helpful than hospital based birth course. It’s also very supportive and inclusive and neutral, evidence based without an agenda of how the birth and birth experience around it is supposed to be. The main objective is to provide as much information as possible in an engaging and informative manner and Leah does it brilliantly! Highly recommend!

We could not have asked for a better doula

Lea gave us the confidence to face birth head on and feel prepared, educated and confident for the big day. The birthing course was so informative and made me realize how much I didn’t know about birth before. When the big day arrived I felt completely ready and aware of what was happening in my body. Lea gave us tools for coping with labor which helped tremendously. I really felt like I was given confidence to believe in myself and trust in my ability to give birth. Lea helped me stay confident throughout my long and difficult labor and after recieving an unplanned epidural she helped me stay comfortable and supported while my midwife was too busy to be with me. I truly don’t know how I would have navigated birthing in a busy hospital setting without Lee’s support. My birth that wasn’t easy and took an unexpected turn still was a positive and empowering experience thanks to the confidence I was given and of course Lea’s constant support and calm vibes she brought into the delivery room. We could not have asked for a better doula!

Thank you Lea!

Thank you Lea so much for being there for me before, during and after birth.

Your knowledge and patience prior to the birth provided me with a sense of security and confidence in the lead up.

Your presence during the birth was so calming. You knew exactly what to do and when to do it. I am not sure how we could have gotten through it without you.

Your visit post birth and processing was something I didn’t even know I needed until after the fact. Having you validate my feelings and reassure us everything is and will be ok, was such a relief.

You really brought such positive energy and light to the whole experience and I am so happy to know you!

Highly highly recommend !
