Supplemental plans of most Kupot Cholim reimburse up to 75% of birth education course and doula services! Some hospitals in Jerusalem give packbacks too. There are also private health insurances that reimburses birth prep courses. For example: If you are booking a birth prep course for 1000 and you have Clalit platinum you can use your Sal Herayon to get a reimbursement of 75% = 750 NIS, which means you pay only 250 NIS.
When I am your doula, I will provide you with receipts for doula services and birth education so that you can maximize your reimbursement.
Always check your eligibility for reimbursements from your Kupat Cholim/hospital as I cannot guarantee reimbursement!
Different Kupot Cholim have varying reimbursement policies that frequently change. While I strive to keep this page updated, I can’t guarantee accuracy. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if the Kupah asks you to hand in any more documents (such as my birth ed or doula diploma etc.).
How to get a reimbursement for birth education through the Kupat Cholim
Please note, some kupot cholim do not reimburse online courses, and will reimburse only if one or two in-person meetings were part of the preparation.
Clalit
Members of Clalit mushlam platinum can use the Sal Herayon סל הריון to get a reimbursement for birth preparation. They cover 75% of up to 2000 NIS.

Maccabi
Members of Maccabi Sheli can use the Chavilat Herayon veLida חבילת הריון ולידה to get a reimbursement for birth preparation under certain criteria. They cover 75% of up to 1000NIS.

Leumit
Members of Leumit Sahav can use the Chavilat haHerayon חבילת ההריון to get a reimbursement for birth preparation under certain criteria. They cover 75% of up to 2000NIS.

Meuchedet
Members of Meuchedet Adif can receive a 50% reimbursement of up to 556 NIS for workshops/courses (not part of the sal herayon)

How to get a reimbursement for birth education through hospitals
Hadassah Hospitals (Ein Kerem + Har Hazofim)
You can get a reimbursement of 500Nis if you give birth in one of the Hadassah hospitals.
You can hand in the receipt while staying there after birth or hand in the following paper to the e-mail address yoldot1@hadassah.org.il within one month after birth :
- Digital receipt
- Bank account confirmation, or picture of a cancelled check ( אישור ניהול חשבון/צילום צ’ ק מבוטל)
- Picture of your Tedudat sehut
- Please write in the subject of the email: “החזר על קורס הכנה ללידה בקהילה”
- In the body of the email write: Your full name, the date you gave birth at Hadassah, and that you choose to receive the benefit of “”החזר על קורס הכנה ללידה בקהילה.”

Shaarei Zedek Hospital
You can get a reimbursement of 450Nis if you give birth in Shaarei Zedek.
Within three months after birth you have to hand in the original receipt into the office of the Marpaat Nashim מרפאת נשים which is in the 9th floor of the building Binyan hador haba בניין הדור הבא.
You can also request the refund by e-mail. Send and email to raziliw@symc.org.il within three months after birth, include the follwing documents:
- Digital receipt
- Name, phone no. and Teudat Sehut of the birthing mother
- Bank Account Details: Name, account, and snif number

How to get a reimbursement for doula services?
Clallit
Callit offers reimbursement of 75%, up to 1500 NIS. To receive the refund, click here and choose “סל הריון-דולה/תומכת לידה”. As service provider choose לידה עם ידע-לאה רייכל. You have to hand in my doula diploma, the receipt, and a birth certificate or your updated teudat sehut sefach.
Please make sure to submit the claim within 6 months after birth.
Maccabi
Callit offers reimbursement of 75%, up to 1616 NIS. To receive the refund, request a refund through the app or through “מכבי online”. You have to hand in my doula diploma and the receipt with the birth date.

Leumit
Leumit offers reimbursement of 75%, up to 1658 NIS. To receive the refund you have to hand in a receipt with your name and teudat sehut on it.
